Help & Advice
Advice to Mothers
-
Schedule them to
do their daily chores at once. This will make it appear less
repetitive! This way you too would get some time for yourself.
-
You can get them
habituated to eat everything by inducing a gentle competition
between them.
-
If you want to
dress them identically, but don't have choices in ready made
garments, don't feel low, go for the tailor made!
-
You will have to
stretch your ingenuity when it comes to dousing the situation
wherein both of them are competing for the same thing. Getting two
of the same thing might not always be the solution even if you had
the resources for it.
-
There are times
when, if one of them is cranky, the other turns unusually calm and
accommodative.
Advice to Fathers
-
You will need to
do the copy paste without computers, so perfect your ability to
repeat the same thing, again and again!
-
Help your wife
as much as you can.
-
Keep your hands
free; get a twins pram!
-
Never admit that
you often cannot tell them apart!
Advice to Twins
Encourage
Individuality:
Twins, are children
who get along more or less easily with each other just like other
siblings. At times, twins may behave as if they are one person,
thinking, speaking and moving alike. It is their separateness that needs
to be emphasized. For the development of each twin, it is very important
that both of you spend individual time with each baby.
To nurture the
individuality, it might make sense for one parent focusing on one child
at a time than both focusing on both.
As parents, day in
and day out we get to observe them together. Despite of all the
similarities in upbringing, there are differences. This is what makes
you more appreciative of the inborn traits! Once you have this
appreciation, you will respect their individuality as well! Parents to
singletons probably never get such an opportunity of comparison and
appreciation.
